In particular, this is the ability to use a picture as a background and adjust the shadow. But there are also a number of disadvantages. First of all, this is the need to download third-party software, as well as the lack of a Russian-language interface for the program. In addition, this method can only be used when window transparency is enabled.

Method 2: Taskbar Color Changer

The next third-party application that will help you change the shade "Taskbars" Windows 7 is a program called Taskbar Color Changer. When using this application, the Aero transparency mode must also be turned on.

1. This program, like the previous one, does not require installation. Therefore, just like last time, after downloading the archive, unzip it and run the Taskbar Color Changer executable file. The application window opens. Its interface is very simple. If you just want to change the color of the panel to any other color rather than a specific shade, then in this case you can entrust the choice to the program. Click "Random". A random shade will appear next to the button. Then press "Apply".

   

   If you want to specify a specific shade, then for this purpose click on the square in the Taskbar Color Changer interface, which displays the current color "Taskbars".



2. A window that is already familiar to us from working with the previous program opens "Color". Here you can immediately select a shade from 48 ready-made options by clicking on the corresponding square and pressing "OK".

   

   You can also specify the shade more precisely by clicking "Define color".



3. The spectrum opens. Click on the area that matches the desired shade. After this, the color should appear in a separate square. If you want to add the selected shade to the standard set of colors, so that later you do not have to constantly select it from the spectrum, but have a faster installation option, then click "Add to set". The hue will be displayed in a square in the block "Additional colors". Once the item is selected, click "OK".



4. After this, the selected shade will be displayed in a square in the main window of Taskbar Color Changer. To apply it to the panel, click "Apply".



5. The selected color will be set.

The disadvantages of this method are exactly the same as the previous one: the English-language interface, the need to download third-party software, and the mandatory condition for enabling window transparency. But there are fewer advantages, since using Taskbar Color Changer you cannot add pictures as a background image and control the shadow, as could be done in the previous method.

Method 3: Using built-in Windows tools

But change the color "Taskbars" You can also use exclusively built-in Windows tools without the use of third-party software. True, not all Windows 7 users will be able to use this option. Owners of the basic version (Home Basic) and the initial version (Starter) will not be able to do this, since they do not have a section "Personalization" required to complete the specified task. Users using these particular OS versions will be able to change the color "Taskbars" only by installing one of the programs discussed above. We will consider the algorithm of actions for those users who have versions of Windows 7 installed that have a section "Personalization".

1. Go to "Desktop". Right-click on it. Select from the list "Personalization".

   Here you can choose one of sixteen basic colors. The standard Windows tool does not have the ability to select additional colors and shades, as was the case in the programs described above. As soon as you click on the appropriate box, window decorations and "Taskbars" will be immediately executed in the selected shade. But, if you exit the settings window without saving the changes, the color will automatically return to the previous version. In addition, by checking or unchecking the box next to the parameter "Enable transparency", the user can enable or disable window transparency and "Taskbars". Moving the slider "Color intensity" left or right, you can adjust the transparency level. If you want to make a number of additional settings, then click on the inscription "Show color settings".



4. A number of additional settings open. Here, by moving the sliders to the right or left, you can adjust the level of saturation, hue and brightness. After all the settings have been made, in order for the changes to be saved after closing the window, click "Save changes".

   

   As you can see, the built-in tool for changing the color of the panel, according to some criteria, is inferior in capabilities to third-party programs. In particular, it provides a much smaller list of colors to choose from. But, at the same time, using this tool, you do not need to install any additional software, its interface is in Russian, and the color can be changed, unlike previous options, even when window transparency is turned off.
